Dive into the wonders of the ocean. Experience breathtaking encounters with lifelike marine creatures through our immersive mixed-reality experience. Explore, discover, and protect our planet's blue heart from your living room.
Contact UsOcean.Contact is an interactive, multi-user, mixed-reality experience that will bring life-sized, photo-realistic, marine species into our world.
Real viewer interactions, state-of-the-art AI-language tools that provide biological facts, and a hybrid mobile phone game, are re-defining the status quo of ocean accessibility.
Get ready for the ultimate ocean immersion.
Many of our marine habitats are on the brink of collapse: overfishing, pollution, coral bleaching, melting polar ice, and rising sea levels – all results of human influence. Yet it is an alien world, inaccessible to 99.9% of the global population. And humans protect only what they love – so it is time to make the planet’s marine habitats accessible to everyone!
In the UN Decade of the Ocean, media production company SEETREE GmbH and technology innovator mixed.world GmbH are embarking on a unique marine conservation project. This project is produced for a multitude of outlets: from exclusive AR-device-driven experiences for public and private spaces and homes, to an all-access smart phone game experience that will allow viewers to truly immerse themselves in the hidden world of the deep.
The option of multi-user-experiences, real viewer interactions, and information on biological and ecological facts are combined with interactive campaigning and low-threshold calls-to-action that will translate into real-world impact.
Ocean.Contact will engage the audience on a deep emotional level and forge visceral connections with marine habitats. Viewers will fall in love with the beauty and fragility of the marine world, while experiencing the changes and dangers that it faces.
Additionally, to the immersive experience, Ocean.Contact will implement explorative learning games, educational materials, and interactive connection nodes for active campaigning through partnerships with NGOs that use the momentum of care.
SEETREE is the production company of award-winning producer Claudia Zenkert. Founded in 2021, the company works across genres and focuses on international co-productions and multimedia concepts. In May of this year, the prototype of her first mixed-reality experience Ocean.Contact celebrated its premiere at Frankfurt Airport.
SEETREE is constantly striving to raise the standards of the industry, for example with its factual entertainment formats Future Homes, which focuses entirely on regenerative architecture and is hosted by a young Indigenous landscape architect; and F*ck the Lawn, produced for Irish broadcaster TG4, which transforms manicured, sterile gardens into biodiversity hubs. All SEETREE productions are sustainably produced and Albert certified (www.wearealbert.org).
Producer and Managing Director SEETREE GmbH
Managing Director Claudia Zenkert, a molecular biologist by training, is responsible for the development, financing and production of over a dozen international projects, such as MADDIE'S URBAN JUNGLES (YouTube Originals), THE BORDERLESS SKY (ZDF/arte, Universum Film), REWILDING (Blue Ant Media, Smithsonian Channel), the NHK Science Panda award-winning documentary NAKED MOLE - SUPERHEROES OF RESEARCH (ZDF/arte, Smithsonian Channel, National Geographic Channels International) and the award-winning documentary THE YELLOWSTONE ENIGMA (WDR, Arte France, Smithsonian Channel).
Claudia Zenkert is experienced in international co-productions and a lateral thinker when it comes to financing and impact strategies. For example, Pathfinder/Land of the Arctic Fox, a project currently being produced for PBS/WNET, arte, SVT, ServusTV, and Fremantle, is being produced in parallel as a wildlife documentary, POV docu-drama, science documentary and children's book. The company is also currently producing its first factual entertainment series, F*ck the Lawn, in Irish-American co-production for TG4. SEETREE also offers educational packages for all projects.
Before her time in the media industry, Claudia Zenkert studied biology (specialising in zoology) and, after a semester abroad at the National Institute of Genetics in Japan, completed her doctorate at the University of Heidelberg. During her studies, she trained as a research diver.
She worked as a diver on scientific marine projects for many years. Her own research also focussed on marine organisms, and she wrote both her diploma and doctoral theses on cnidarians (jellyfish and anemones). She is very well connected and authenticity and correct scientific principles are of the highest priority.

SEETREE GmbH and mixed.world GmbH are now official network partners to the German UN Ocean Decade Committee! We want to do our part in the UN Ocean Decade (2021 – 2030) by developing Ocean.Contact into an important ocean awareness tool! Ocean conservation starts with awareness: We only protect what we know and love! Since 99,9 % of the people on this planet will never get the chance to experience life beneath the surface, the ocean and its marine habitats remain a true underdog! Most people do not have any emotional connection, despite the fact that the ocean is one of our biggest and most important ecosystems. We want to change that: Ocean.Contact brings life-sized, photo-realistic marine life into your homes and into public spaces! You will experience underwater ecosystems in a safe and comfortable environment. Protection starts with caring, so get ready to fall in love with the ocean!

Last week we did an exclusive Ocean.Contact showroom at the 2024 KfW Inspiration Days. We were supporting Sector Economist Marine Biodiversity and Sustainable Fisheries Kai Wiegler in representing the amazing work of the Blue Action Fund. We had over 150 people enjoy our Ocean.Contact prototype experience in half-hour guided tours. We were privileged to be invited and to inspire a lot of conversations about our oceans.

The last couple of days have been an incredible rush! On Wednesday, we launched our unique Ocean.Contact mixed reality experience at the VIP Terminal at Frankfurt Airport. We introduced the world’s first interactive, multiuser ocean experience that introduced the guests to the beauty and fragility of the ocean ecosystem. Ocean.Contact brings life-sized, photo-realistic marine animals into our world. Up to six people can share the experience and interact together, closely examining the shown species. This event marks the first milestone on a beautiful and important journey. We want to turn Ocean.Contact into an edutaining tool for ocean awareness and implement live-campaigning and sponsoring, alongside an interactive ocean map. We are also looking to expand the experience from HMDs (Head-mounted-devices) to BYOD (Bring-your-own-device) to make it accessible to everyone.
